Lessons
Our lesson program at Getner Barn teaches both horsemanship and riding. The only way to truly enjoy these animals is to understand them from care and riding. The lessons emphasize this while being taught in a friendly, familiar and stress- free environment.
All lessons are tailored to the ability and desire of the student. This is done to maximize the enjoyment and minimize the fear. We teach the English discipline focusing on equitation.
Summer Camp
Entering the world of horses is an exciting time for children. Our job at Getner Barn is to make your child’s experience the best it can be. Camp is designed to instill safety, knowledge and enjoyment go horses. Doing your child’s week, he or she will work closely with our horses and staff in a hands on environment. Other activities include demonstrations, reading and writing actives, crafts, videos and games all based on increasing your child’s knowledge of horses.
Micro Lessons
Micro lessons are for children 4 to 5 years old. They are 30 minutes and include a lead-in riding lesson in our ring by an instructor along with horse care knowledge for our little students.
